Electrical services

Electrical work, as its own job.

From a single dead outlet to a full 200-amp service upgrade — all permitted, all done by a licensed crew. Solar optional, never required.

Main panel upgrades & heavy-ups

Older LA homes on 100-amp service run out of headroom fast. We upgrade to 200- or 400-amp service so the rest of the house is safe to build on.

  • 100A → 200A / 400A service upgrades
  • Meter-main combos and utility coordination
  • Fixing overloaded or obsolete panels (Zinsco, FPE)
  • Permit and inspection handled end to end

Adding a garage, ADU, workshop, hot tub, or a heavy appliance? We run the dedicated circuits and sub-panels to power it without tripping the house.

  • Garage, ADU & workshop sub-panels
  • Dedicated 240V circuits for range, dryer, HVAC
  • Hot tub, pool equipment & well pumps
  • Kitchen and remodel circuit additions

Why hire us for electrical

A real electrical contractor — not solar with a side of wiring.

Most solar outfits sub out their electrical or treat it as a checkbox on the way to a panel sale. We are licensed for it, we lead with it, and we are happy to do it and nothing else.

01

No solar pitch attached

Plenty of our electrical customers never install a single panel. Hire us for the upgrade, the charger, or the repair — that is the whole job, and there is no bundle requirement.

02

Licensed C-10 electrical contractor

We are a state-licensed electrical contractor, not a handyman. CSLB #1124277, bonded and insured, with the certificate of insurance available same day.

03

The price is in the proposal

We do the load calculation and check your panel before quoting, so the number you sign is the number you pay — not a surprise discovered mid-install.

04

Permits and inspection handled

We pull the electrical permit, coordinate with LADWP or your utility, and see the work through final inspection. You are not left managing the city.

How it works

Quoted, permitted, done — usually in a day.

No ten-hour sales pitch. A licensed electrician assesses the work, gives you a flat written price, and does the job on permit.

Assessment & quote

We look at your panel, run the load calculation, and give you a flat, written price. If the work does not need doing, we tell you.

Permit & schedule

We pull the electrical permit and book a date. Most residential jobs get scheduled within days, not weeks.

Install

A licensed crew does the work — most panel upgrades, chargers, and circuit jobs are a single day, with power off for only part of it.

Inspection & sign-off

We meet the city inspector, close the permit, and walk you through what changed and how to use it.

Questions

Electrical questions, answered.

What homeowners ask before booking electrical work.

Do I have to buy solar to hire you for electrical work?

No. This is a standalone service. A large share of our electrical jobs — panel upgrades, EV chargers, rewires, repairs — go to homeowners who never install solar, and there is no obligation to sit through a solar pitch.

How do I know if my panel needs to be upgraded?

Common signs: 100-amp (or smaller) service on an older home, a panel that is full with no room for new breakers, breakers that trip regularly, or plans to add an EV charger, heat pump, or ADU. Certain brands (Zinsco, Federal Pacific) are also worth replacing on safety grounds alone. We check capacity during the assessment and tell you straight.

Do you install EV chargers, and will my panel handle one?

Yes — Level 2 home chargers including the Tesla Wall Connector and universal J1772 / NACS units. Whether your panel can take one depends on your existing load; we run the calculation before quoting and, if the service is maxed out, price the upgrade in the same proposal instead of finding out on install day.

Do you pull the permits?

Always. We pull the electrical permit, coordinate with LADWP or your local utility, and see the job through final inspection. Permit work protects you at resale and keeps your insurance valid — we never do panel work off the books.

How much does a panel upgrade cost and how long does it take?

Most residential panel upgrades are completed in a single day, with power off for only part of it. Cost depends on amperage, whether the meter and mast need work, and utility requirements — which is exactly why we quote a flat price in writing after the assessment rather than over the phone.

Are there utility rebates for panel upgrades or an EV charger?

Often, yes — utilities like LADWP and SCE run rebate and incentive programs for work like main panel upgrades and EV charger installs, but the paperwork is where most people give up and leave the money on the table. We help you figure out which rebates you actually qualify for and walk you through filling out every form, so the credit ends up back in your pocket.

Are you licensed and insured for electrical work specifically?

Yes — we hold a California C-10 electrical contractor license under CSLB #1124277, and carry general liability and workers' compensation coverage. Ask for the certificate of insurance at any point and we'll send it the same day.
